Aspen-low bush cranberry

Found on well-drained sites with medium moisture and medium nutrients. An early seral community that in the absence of disturbance will go through succession to an Aspen – White Spruce Mixedwood community, and eventually to a White Spruce-moss community type. Usually found in the mid to lower slope landscape positions and on moderately fine to fine textured soils and parent materials (silts and clays).
